A new international award honoring those whose voices and actions have helped build peace across the Americas—whether famous or forgotten.

2. Who can be nominated?
Anyone in the world, living or deceased, whose actions have made a lasting contribution to peace in North, Central, or South America.

3. Who can submit a nomination?
Anyone. The nomination process is open to the public. You can submit your nominee directly through our website.

4. Who chooses the winner?
The people. After nominations are published, the public can read, comment, and vote. The nominee with the most support receives the award. APP is chosen by the people—not by a committee.

5. What kind of work qualifies?
Work that promotes peace through activism, organizing, education, diplomacy, art, or community leadership. APP recognizes real impact over recognition.

6. Can public figures be nominated?
Yes, but their selection depends on their peacebuilding, not their popularity. APP rewards action, not image.

7. Can the award be given posthumously?
Yes. APP often seeks to honor those whose voices were ignored, silenced, or forgotten.

8. What does the winner receive?
A solid gold medal, a hand-painted portrait, and public recognition through a rotating continental ceremony.

9. Who chooses the artist?
Each year, a volunteer committee selects one portrait artist from a pool of talented volunteers to paint the winner. The artist changes annually.10. Who selects the committee?
The committee is re-formed each year and rotates through the Americas. Its sole responsibility is to select the portrait artist and oversee presentation logistics—not to choose the winner.
